Truth

The truth about truth is that it is always beautiful to give but sometimes terrible to receive
Truth is not an ad for anti-smoking but what it means when you give it
To withhold truth is to be untruthful and to withhold truth is dishonest
Truth in relationships is vital to growth both personally and together
Without truth what foundation do we have for trust?
Without truth we can blindly accept and place hope that we can trust but we never truly know
Many of us go through life thinking that a little white lie is acceptable, forgivable, negligible and it can be all of the above
If we are to accept this notion than we might as well build relationships on false pretenses
False because what the other does not know cannot hurt them
But as I think of this statement I cannot help but feel that what another does not know WILL ultimately hurt them
Whether you tell the truth or withhold it, pain, sadness always follows
So ask yourself this question
Can I live with the truth that I am untruthful or can the truth once revealed hurt, damage and destroy what trust I have built with you yet serve as a reference point for when I become real with you...
